PUBLIC RELATIONS + INFLUENCERS
Through the power of public relations, we position our clients as industry leaders in the media standing at the forefront of the issues and conversations shaping their fields. Whether it’s landing a client on Ocean Drive’s monthly “It List,” securing a bylined article on Law.com, or securing a spot in the New York Times, we use earned media to build visibility, authority and trust. From regional business publications to national media and industry trades, our focus is on building the kind of third-party credibility advertising alone can’t create. Our strong editorial relationships are built on consistently delivering compelling, newsworthy content, and closely monitoring the media for timely opportunities that connect our clients to relevant stories and conversations. As a public relations agency in Miami, we work with clients across legal, healthcare, finance, and technology, tailoring every media strategy to the industry, audience, and business goals it needs to support. For businesses across South Florida and beyond, that credibility can help shape reputation, build trust and authority, and strengthen brand recognition, keeping our clients in the conversations that matter.

Public Relations FAQs
What does a public relations agency in Miami actually do?
A public relations agency helps companies shape how they are seen, what they are known for and how they show up in conversations that matter to their business. The goal is to build awareness, establish credibility and earn trust with the audiences they want to reach.
At Velocitas, that includes media relations, message development, thought leadership, press strategy and identifying opportunities that put our clients and their leadership in front of the right audiences. A key part of that work is building third-party credibility through earned media, something that carries a different level of validation than an advertisement.
How is PR different from advertising or paid marketing?
The biggest difference is that PR focuses on earning media or stakeholder attention, while advertising pays for that attention via a placement. A media story, interview or expert quote is determined by a journalist or outlet, giving a brand a different kind of credibility than a paid advertisement.
We don’t view PR and paid marketing as competing strategies. Depending on a client’s goals, they can work together, along with social media, digital marketing and other channels, to build visibility and reinforce a consistent message.
What results can a South Florida business expect from a PR agency?
That depends on what success looks like for the business. For one client, the priority may be securing coverage in key media outlets. For another, it may be building visibility for company leadership, establishing credibility in a particular industry or becoming part of a larger conversation.
Velocitas has secured media opportunities for clients ranging from regional businesses to Fortune 500 companies. At the beginning of an engagement, we establish what success looks like for the client and build the PR strategy around those goals.
Does Velocitas write and pitch press releases?
Yes, when a press release is the right tool for the story. But not every announcement needs one, and issuing a press release alone doesn’t necessarily make something newsworthy.
Our approach starts with the story: Why does it matter? Why now? And who needs to hear about it? From there, we determine the best way to reach the media, whether that’s through a press release, a targeted pitch, direct reporter outreach, thought leadership or another approach. The strategy comes first. The format and distribution follow.
How does Velocitas measure PR success?
We start by defining what success means for each client. Is the goal to increase brand recognition, educate an audience, enter a new market, establish authority or build trust? From there, we identify the metrics that make sense for those goals. These can include the quality and relevance of media coverage, reach, share of voice, key message inclusion, website traffic, lead generation and other indicators tied to the client’s objectives.
We use those insights not only to report on the work, but also to understand what’s resonating and adjust our strategy and recommendations accordingly.
