PRESIDENT

Patricia is a seasoned marketing executive and entrepreneur who launched Velocitas in 2002. When she was deciding on a name, she wanted something that represented her style of business: fast-paced, efficient, and always two steps ahead of the game. Velocitas, a Latin word meaning speed, swiftness, and velocity, was the perfect fit. As President of the award-winning agency, Patricia manages client relationships and oversees all the firm’s campaigns and projects. Patricia brings a wealth of experience in healthcare and professional services marketing, including law practices and technology companies. Her strengths include working with clients on brand development, marketing strategy, Internet marketing, strategic introductions, and collaborating with designers to produce all types of creative, collateral material, photo assets, and videos, in addition to building long-lasting relationships with clients, media members and her team of social media experts and PR representatives. Patricia is deeply involved in the South Florida business community and actively participates in and sits on the board of various organizations in the legal, finance, and non-profit fields. Patricia acquired her MBA from the University of Miami in 2004, specializing in international business.

/ Melissa Flynn

Public Relations Director/Strategic Partner

Melissa, a seasoned public relations marketing professional with nearly three decades of experience, is dedicated to driving positive, business-impacting change. Her extensive background includes strategic counsel for prominent organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Frito-Lay, and the Communities Foundation of Texas. Specializing in issues and crisis management, strategic planning, brand positioning, market research, and creative programming, Melissa excels in providing guidance to C-suite executives. As the founder of her consultancy, Melissa draws from her senior leadership roles at top PR and integrated agencies. Notably, as SVP/Brand Director at Ketchum, she spearheaded new business and national PR strategy for retail giant Frito-Lay, and provided strategy and counsel on other key accounts. Her prior role as Senior PR Director at The Richards Group showcased her expertise across B2B, B2C, and cause-related initiatives. She is an MBA graduate from the University of Tennessee and APR accredited. Currently on the Board of Directors for PRSA Dallas Chapter, she was past president of both the PRSA Dallas Chapter and the South Carolina Chapter of PRSA. Melissa’s comprehensive skill set, including executive communication and media coaching, positions her as a valuable asset to our team.

Creative Director

Alicia is a highly accomplished senior graphic designer with an extensive 20-year career in the industry and a Degree in Commercial Art. Her dedication to the world of visual aesthetics and collaborative creativity has led her to deliver outstanding design solutions across a diverse spectrum of campaigns, ranging from impactful branding and eye-catching billboards to cutting-edge websites and digital campaigns. Her portfolio encompasses a wide array of sectors, including the automotive, financial, and healthcare industries. She is known for her team spirit and brings a positive energy to every campaign. Her approach is evident not only in her graphic arts expertise, but also in her passion for music and dancing. Alicia is the embodiment of an artistic soul, driven by the thrill of transforming ideas and concepts into vibrant, tangible realities.

/Sofia Marrufo

Account Executive

Sofia is our account executive who is passionate about working with brands to build their social media engagement, create effective communication strategies, and develop campaigns through creativity and current trends. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Miami and more recently, her Masters in Communication Management with a specialization in Social Media Strategies from the Barcelona School of Management. With her background and experience living in three countries, she has developed a strong international perspective as well as being result-driven and detail-oriented.

Account Executive

Julieta is our Marketing Coordinator who is driven by creativity and innovation. She creates social media content to help brands grow their leads, engagement, and reputation. Her background in the beauty industry and event planning makes her a detail-oriented individual with a sharp focus on solving problems. She enjoys planning and executing memorable event activations that are backed by clear and effective brand ideas. When she is not being a workaholic you can find her traveling the world. Julieta has a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Marketing and International Business from Florida International University.
